If life is about searching for a purpose or a passion then mine is, at least in part, enabling others to find and fulfil their own. At Results we aim to do this firstly for corporates and then for their key protagonists. Both can be at any level of the performance spectrum.
After reading economics at Edinburgh University I qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in the institutional investment division at Richard Ellis and Partners, before joining the Beckwith brothers at London & Edinburgh Trust PLC, both in London. I then helped lead a private family company with rural and commercial interests in the UK, Australia and the USSR culminating with 2 years in Sydney. For the next 14 years based from Edinburgh I concentrated on a number of specific large scale redevelopment projects spread from the City of London to Aberdeen.
Over the same period I gave considerable time to the voluntary sector becoming Chairman of two well established charities and a trustee to a third. These involve restorative justice in prisons, addiction issues and an East End Settlement.
Now, any spare time is taken up by exploring the Hebrides and the Camino to Santiago.
